Summary: Per the DeFiChain Marketing SIG, on 3 Nov 2026 DeFiChain was hit by a critical vulnerability in its account-to-account transfer mechanism; an arithmetic overflow caused only 1 satoshi of DFI to be deducted from the sender while recipients were credited the full amounts, letting an attacker create approximately 92.23 billion DFI.
