Investment-group / pig-butchering scam. A California complainant told DFPI they were invited to an investing WhatsApp group led by a claimed adviser "Charles" and assistant "Isabella", who moved members onto GOXCOINS.com to trade crypto futures. Members were pushed toward a "high-net-worth" group requiring $400,000; withdrawals were then "disabled pending an automatic security review" and a 50% upfront payment was demanded.
