On October 14, 2026, a Reddit user in r/CryptoScams reported losing $17,493.41 after meeting someone on an online dating platform who introduced them to crypto investing on a site called Velxton (velxton[.]com, also called "Velxon"). The user said the two had regular video calls, that the payments started small and escalated quickly, and that they reported the case to local police in Texas.
