On 2026-08-30 an attacker pumped Tectonic's TONIC token ~300x and borrowed $120.4M against it on Cronos. Cronos rolled back 10,961 blocks and recovered $111.2M; about $9.19M had already left the chain and is unrecovered, with later deposits into Tornado Cash. Some Cronos-side addresses may not resolve on ordinary explorers because the exploit happened on the discarded fork. Source: BlockintAI research
